Our Veterinarians
Our veterinarians have the competence, consideration, and enthusiasm to prove their commitment to pet care excellence. Not to mention their over 100 years of combined experience.
Dr. Eric Wagner
Dr. Eric Wagner received his B.S. in microbiology from the University of Illinois with honors in 1986 and his DVM in 1990. Upon graduation, he practiced in Alexandria, VA Virginia for two years and until he returned to Chicago and went into private practice. He joined Becker Animal Hospital in 1996. Dr. Wagner spends his free time in Michigan, farming, swimming, and golfing.

Dr. Kathy Ilyukhina
Dr. Kathy Ilyukhina received her degree with honors from Moscow State Academy. She worked in Moscow in a referral center. After relocating to the United States, she worked in private practice for 10 years before coming to Becker Animal Hospital in 2007. Dr. Ilyukhina’s interests include reading, hiking, and the outdoors.

Dr. Robert Liebman
Dr. Robert Liebman received his B.S. from the Honors College at Michigan State University and his DVM from the University of Illinois. After working in both private practice and animal control work in Chicago, he joined Becker Animal Hospital in 2002. Dr. Liebman’s interests include computers and science fiction.

Dr. George Luke
Dr. George Luke received his DVM from Purdue University. He was a veterinarian in Vietnam during 1968-–1969, earning a Bronze Star. Dr Luke joined Becker Animal Hospital in 1969. Dr. Luke spends his free time working at his church with youth groups and doing mission work.

Dr. Daran Mayer
Dr. Daran Mayer, our relief veterinarian, graduated from State University of New York with a degree in environmental sciences. She received her DVM from Ross University in 1985. She was in private practice for eight years before coming to Becker Animal Hospital in 1993 as our relief veterinarian. When not working, Dr. Mayer enjoys traveling and being a mom.
